Western Digital Warns Mac Users of Potential Data Loss When Using Its External Drives With Mavericks

Western Digital has sent an email to customers warning them about potential data loss when connecting external hard drives to Macs running OS X Mavericks.


Following up on numerous reports of data loss, the company suggests that Mac users remove the WD Drive Manager, WD Raid Manager and WD SmartWare software applications from the computers as soon as possible. It is 'urgently' investigating the reports to identify the issue.
