The main attraction is the revamped remote control, completely redesigned as a touch device that might be wirelessly rechargeable via Apple TV. iPhone 5 / 5s / 5c are still functioning as remote controls as well. Additionally, a separate App Store for Apple TV should be available. With 9,8 x 9,8 cm, it comes in the same size as the 2-year-old 3rd generation, but will be even thinner with 1,67 cm. We expect models to be available in grey, gold and silver.

Flappy Bird Might Fly Again

Dong Nguyen, the creator of Flappy Bird, speaks out about the popular game in a Rolling Stone profile.
Nguyen is a quiet 28 year old who lived with his parents in Hanoi, Vietnam. He had a day job programming location devices for taxis and built Flappy Bird one holiday weekend. The game was released on May 24th but like most games, never took off. Eight months later, it suddenly went viral and reportedly earned him an estimated $50,000 a day.

On February 9th, Nguyen tweeted, "I am sorry 'Flappy Bird' users," it read. "22 hours from now, I will take 'Flappy Bird' down. I cannot take this anymore." As promised, the game was removed hours later. Almost immediately, game developers rushed to fill the void with similar games such as Flappy Flyer, Flappy Wings, and others flooding the App Store.

Microsoft to Release Free OneNote for Mac App in March

Microsoft is planning to release a free OneNote for Mac app later this month.

The application has been around for 10 years but Microsoft limited its availability to Windows users and only recently created versions for iOS, Android, and the web.

We understand that Microsoft will release the OneNote for Mac app for free, and the company is also planning to make the Windows desktop version available at no extra cost. This marks a significant change in the way Microsoft manages OneNote, unbundling it fully from the cost of Office. We’re told part of this free approach is targeted at competitors like Evernote, but Microsoft is also adding additional features to entice people away from the competition.

North American iOS 7.1 Adoption Reaches 5.9% in 24 Hours

iOS 7.1 adoption reached 5.9% in North America just 24 hours after its release.

At 5.9%, North American iOS 7.1 adoption has progressed at a very similar rate to iOS 7.0.6. 24 hours following that release, iOS 7.0.6 users generated 6% of total iOS traffic, averaging to about 5% over the course of the full day. Considering Apple’s update notification strategy, along with these two data points, it seems likely that future minor iOS 7 version updates will experience highly comparable levels of adoption.

Angry Birds Epic is Rovio's New Angry Birds Game

Rovio is set to launch Angry Birds Epic, an adventure role-playing game with turn-based combat and an extensive crafting system.

It actually sounds pretty amazing for a mobile title. A story-driven campaign with a challenging endgame? Will there be raiding? Can birds raid things? Alfred Hitchcock certainly thought so. Sounds like crafting will be an important part of the game as well, with players making armor, potions, and weapons using resources either won in the game or purchased via real currency.
